Most Valuable Kids (MVK) is a program that provides free sports and entertainment tickets to children in need. MVK and Jennifer Platt Skolochenko, Washington, D.C. director, have donated hundreds of tickets to CFSA children and youth.

The Pajama Program delivers sleepwear and nuturing books to children in need. DC Chapter President, Judy Cooper, has provided CFSA with generous shipments of pajamas for our Children's Donation Center.

In recent years, PFK has developed a partnership with Kathleen Jackson who we have affectionately named "The Pajama Lady". During the 2013 Holiday Toy Drive, Kathleen spearheaded a Facebook Campaign to collect pajamas for CFSA's foster children and youth. She was able to collect and donate over 1200 pajamas to the Holiday Drive.

The Children's Donation Center accepts contributions of much needed items and resources for children and families. Please click here to see our WISH-LIST of new and gently used items.

Monetary Donations

Contribute funds to support special projects for children and youth. All financial contributions must be submitted in the form of a check made payable to Child and Family Services Agency. Please write Partners for Kids in Care in the 'Memo' section.

Partners for Kids Advisory Board is an innovative group. Caring business leaders and other community members make a positive difference by sharing creative ideas about how to generate goods and services for foster children and their families. PFK meets bi-monthly. Marty Janis, CEO Atlantic Services Group, Inc., spearheaded the advisory board and currently serves as chair.

During these difficult economic times, this program connects families in need with sponsors who provide a $100 grocery gift card each month. Over the past few years, Cameo Kitchens has sponsored five families.

The Youth Savings Program seeks to impact the lives of children by enhancing financial literacy and rewarding educational achievements. Each month, an individual can sponsor a child with a $25 savings check to put into a savings account to help purchase books and other educational needs. Michael Billion, a social entrepreneur, originated this program and has sponsored three children for the past few years.
