Was a success!

 

On May 3, 2014 PFK held our annual Project Prom, Graduation and Career event. This event helps teens get prepared for their prom and graduation. During this one day shopping boutique, teens get an opportunity to select from a beautiful array of gowns and formal wear provided through community contributions.

 

PFK started collecting dresses and suits in early April. We received an influx of resources for our young people collecting over 300 dresses and suits. It definitely was a team effort lead by PFK staff member, Angela "Angie" Robinson, who worked tirelessly with our community partners and private donors to make the event a success.

 

The boutique was beautifully decorated with lovely accessories, shoes, clothing, and the smiling faces of young people. This year there were 30 youth who shopped in the boutique the day of the event. The youth had the opportunity to be pampered by personal shoppers, who assisted them in finding the perfect dress or suit and accessories to match for upcoming proms and graduations. However, PFK continues to work with young people up until June in selecting gowns and suits if they were not able to make it to the event.

 

The PFK team thanks all our community partners and donors who gave to the event. We can’t wait for Project Prom, Graduation and Career 2015!
